Antique Victorian Silver and Double Gold Embellished Oval Locket.
A pretty silver oval locket with an open-framed photo back.
The centre of the locket is decorated with a lily that has been embellished with touches of yellow and rose gold.
The Victorians loved to use flowers to symbolise a hidden meaning in their jewellery, a lily represented purity and rebirth.
The organic theme is also continued in the two-toned leaf pattern radiating out from the centre towards a scalloped edge.
The tapered bale is original.
The condition is good commensurate with age.
The glass back is original Circa 1890.
