Victorian 15ct Yellow Gold "Suffragette" Ring 1900
A lovely ring in the colours of the Suffragette Movement.
The stones are Emerald green paste “G’,White paste “W” and violet coloured Almandine Garnet “V” acronym symbols for the catch cry “ Give Women Votes ! “
The 15ct shank is Hallmarked for Birmingham 1900. This places it at the very beginning of the movement and I think a little too early for it to be definitley called a piece of Suffragette jewellery.
It is however beautifully made and very pretty with collectable early paste stones and garnets.
