Victorian 18ct gold snake ring set with one round brilliant diamond on the head and two single cut diamonds in the eyes.
Made in Birmingham in 1876.
In Victorian times the serpent represented eternal love, following on from Albert’s serpent betrothal ring gifted to Victoria.
Metal: Hallmarked 18ct yellow gold.
The double half round shank is .75 cm wide at its widest.
Stones: Claw set round cut diamond estimated .2ct and two small diamond chips.
