Victorian 18ct Yellow Gold,Enamel and Seed Pearl Mourning Ring.
A lovely example of Victorian Mourning jewellery.
The front has a crystal-covered insert, usually containing hair. It has a decorative gold border which is surrounded by black enamel.
Sixteen seed peals of good matching clour symbolising tears surround this panel. The decorative triple split shoulder is joined to a floral engraved tapered band.
Circa 1850
Metal: Marked London 18ct gold. Date mark obscured. 16 seed pearls with a slight variance of colour and lustre. Black enamel.

Crystal top is slightly scratched.
