A pair of discrete and very smart 15 ct gold earrings.

These stylised seashell earrings are fixed with a secure old European clasp.

These may have been the tops for a pair of Victorian Day/Night earrings.

The bottom dangle was detached for day wear adn added for night time.

Today small pearls or gems with a loop attached could be threaded onto the hook when open to further adorn these earrings for evening wear.

In beautiful condition.
