One for the sophisticated collector, exquisite and deceptively plain, Pinchbeck earrings.

An alchemists amalgamation of copper and a dash of zinc creates this collectable metal.

The facet cut rectangular amethyst “paste” is foil backed and closed at the back to intensify the colour. Circa 1840 

The earrings are attached with the original shepherd hooks for a feminine swing and dangle.

The setting is a classic crimped Georgian setting.

Metal: Pinchbeck, 90% Copper 10% nickel. A collectable metal as this is no longer produced and the recipe has been lost. 

Stone: Facet cut Purple / Mauve glass foil backed.

Weight: 1.1 gm each earring.

Dimensions: Top of hook to bottom of paste 1.6cm. Width of paste .75cm  Height : 1cm
