A exquisite Georgian love token slide comprised of a central cabochon crystal-covered open locket with tightly woven black hair mounted with gold cyphers JDW.

This locket has a closed back and is surrounded by 20 black dot diamond paste stones.

Currently suspended on a wrist length piece of black velvet ribbon, it could also be adapted to wear on a longer length around one's neck.

It could also be worn suspended on a chain.  There is some surface scratches /markings on the crystal cover but otherwise, the piece is in very good condition,commensurate with age.

Metal: Tests 9ct rose gold. Hinged clip fastener marked 9ct. 

Top: Rock crystal.  Stones:  20 Black dot paste 3.35mm diameter (estimated in the setting ) Interior: Finely woven black hair.

Width of locket, including paste surround: 17.31mm x 23.56 mm          

Hinged clip : 12.94mm x 11.62 mm.
