Arts and Crafts silver and almandine Garnet bracelet.
A magnificent Arts and Crafts silver and almandine garnet bracelet.
Each panel is set with a flat-topped, facet cut garnet with milligram surround.
The panels are further hand-decorated with intricately worked leaf, berry and coiled tendril filigree.
This style of decorative handwork is typical of the work of Australian jeweller Rhona Wager. In the absence of any mark, it is hard to definitively claim that it is. There were other jewellers working at the time who copied her style.
The articulated composition makes the bracelet sit well on the wrist.
The depressed tongue clasp is incorporated into the decoration, it has a safety clip and is a sound working condition.
A beautiful bracelet in beautiful condition.
