A striking Antique Hallmarked 9ct rose gold swivel/spinner set with Carnelian and Bloodstone.

Stamped for Chester 1890 and a great weight at 10.4grms.

Traditionally worn on a pocket watch chain the swivel movement allowed the wearer to spin the stone surface around.

Carnelian was associated with courage, passion and vitality whilst the deep green, red flecked bloodstone was attributed with ability to purify blood and protect the wearer from harm.

This decorative piece is embellished with a chunky loosely twisted rope bale.

The side pins are sound and secure. An extremely piece of quality Victorian work.

In very good condition.
