The shape of this locket is most unusual. I've never seen this shape before.

The pretty engraved foliate design to the front of lilies and leaves represents remembrance and fondness.

The back is expertly executed as well with a circle of leaves surrounding a cartouche that could hold an initial .

The interior holds the 2 original oval rims. Circa 1870

Metal: 9ct gold back and front.

The interior frame shows some small areas of gilding loss but the exterior gold is perfect.
