A classic organic Art Nouveau peridot and pearl pendant.

Art Nouveau designs typically feature flowing curvilinear and organic lines and in the UK where this was crafted, the influence of the Arts and Crafts movement and William Morris are obvious.

The central peridot is carved in the shape of a heart and the design is finished with a suspended natural seed pearl typically used in this era.

The piece is stamped with the S Bros mark for Sheldon Brothers of Birmingham who were working in Vyse st between 1905-1915. So this places this piece in exactly the right time frame for Art Nouveau.
