A beautifully crafted Continental silver long guard /muff chain. 

The fine trace link necklace has the original swivel dog clip clasp which is stamped 800.

The length of the chain gives this piece versatility to be worn in various ways including its original purpose of having a ladies silver pocket watch attached and tucked into a waist band or side pocket.

A pretty locket or pendant could safely be added as the chain and clasp are in very good condition.
