A decorative and pretty Sterling Silver Chatelaine piece.

Chatelaines were attached to a ladies waist band to hook on useful items such as mini scissors, thimbles etc.

This piece is more for ornamentation but it does have the well crafted silver marked hook.

The fancy link triple chains are fed into a decorative scrolled terminal.

Apart from the hook there is a Maltese Cross charm and a double ball topped tassel.

In very good antique condition.

Circa 1880.
