Antique Silver Double Curb Link Albert with Silver Coins and T bar.
A lovely Sterling Silver stamped Antique double curblink Albert /fob chain.
Each link has a silver stamp. The bar is stamped Chester 1915 with maker EP for Edwin Page.
Edwin Page was a chain maker in Birmingham so whilst the chain was made in Birmingham, the piece was registered with the Chester Assay House.
The silver coins are a 1889 Rupee and a 1901 English 3 pence coin. A whimsical reminder of the glory days of the British Raj.
Originally a functional piece of a gentleman’s costume used to attach a pocket watch to a waistcoat and pocket, these curblink watch chains have converted into a stylish and covetable woman’s necklace.
A truly wearable antique.
