A stunning necklace constructed in silver with a fine backing of applied rose gold.

The setting is deftly pierced to allow a maximum amount of light to shine through the stones.

The rich hued amethysts are surrounded by bright sparkling synthetic white sapphires.

This would have been cutting edge technology at the time as they only started to be used in the early part of the 20th Century.

The quality and skill involved in the creation of this piece is outstanding.

The frame has intricate piercing and cutwork with milligrain edging as does the surrounds for the stones.

The necklet sits perfectly on the wearer and has the added eye catching movement created by the articulated drop at the base.
