15ct Georgian mourning hair brooch
A lovely Georgian lace gold pin/brooch in 15-carat gold decorated around the circumference with gold leaves, shells and flowers.
The main body has a closed back and a crystal cover over an insert of braided soft brown hair.
The pin stem has a c curl catch and a loop that would have held a safety chain.
A charming love token or memorial piece of jewellery Circa 1830.
Excellent condition.
