Antique Edwardian 9ct Gold, Amethyst,Peridot and Pearl Suffragette Bangle.
A classic example of Suffragette jewellery with the colour of the gems Peridot /green G, Pearls white W, Amethysts violet V an acronym for Give Women Votes.
This delicate and pretty piece belies the strength and tenacity of these brave women. The main body of the bangle is hollow 9ct yellow gold.
A bezel set oval amethyst is flanked by a row of seed pearls with adjacent oval bezel set peridots. The amethyst is framed top and bottom with filigree scrolls and balls. The integrated tongue and groove clasp is secure and in sound working order.
There is a safety chain attached.
