This enamel picture fob depicts a sweet canary on its perch.

The medallion is a hallmarked sterling silver shield with a decorative scrolled edge and a pattern stamped interior. 

Pretty enough to wear as an eye-catching pendant but also a great addition to a pocket watch chain /fob chain.

These fobs were often given as trophies to bird breeders competing in show events. Generally the back was inscribed with the name and date of the winner of the event but this one has remained blank.

Hall marked: Birmingham 1929.

In very good condition.
