A striking oval Antique Silver locket decorated with banded panels.

The scrollwork sides adjoin two raised plain bands that enclose an ornate ivy leaf design engraved panel.

Ivy leaves were a popular motif in Victorian times used to represent tenacity, faithfulness and eternal love.

The back of the locket is plain.

Inside the locket are 2 perspex covered picture spaces with the original silver frames.

The fittings are sound with the hinge in sound mechanical order and the locket closing securely.

The bale has two silver ball adornments. In very good Antique condition commensurate with age.
