Rare tortoiseshell inlaid Pique locket with its original decorated bale.

The locket is inlaid with silver in a grape vine and leaf design.The interior is clean and the original photo glass has been replaced with perspex.

The plain back reveals the lovely variations of the tortoiseshell.A few minor signs of wear commensurate with the age of this piece.A very smart and striking accessory that translates well into current times.Circa 1900.
