Art Deco French Blown Pearl and Paste Earrings

These striking earrings have an exceptional luminous pearlescent glow created by the process that used ground nacre from pearls to line glass blown drops to create the illusion of a real pearl.

First used in the Georgian period, these are a later version from the Art Deco period.

The tops are continental silver with a small French mark stamped into the metal on the hook. The deep blue facet cut paste stones enhance the elegance of these earrings.

The pearl drops are articulated so they swing and sway with body movements.

Light and secure to wear courtesy of the continental fastening hooks.

Great for smart day wear but spectacular at night when the artificial lighting emphasises the glowing nacre coating.

In wonderful condition.

Circa 1920
