A beautiful composition of garnets, half pearls and rubies set in 15ct yellow gold.

The buttery yellow of 15ct yellow gold is highly prized amongst collectors of antique jewellery as it was only in production for a short period between 1854 and 1932.

The stones used in Victorian jewellery quite often were symbolic and loaded with subtle meanings.

This combination encompasses the pearls representing purity, the emeralds representing hope and the rubies signifying devotion and enduring love. A perfect love token.

The detailed settings and mounts are comprised of highly detailed milligrain work, decorative scrolled shoulders with golden balls.

The plain band is clearly Hallmarked for Birmingham 1875 and 625 for 15ct gold. 

There has been some repair work to the claw mounts around the pearls and the pearls have been firmly glued in place for extra security.

Condition is good.

Stones: 2 x split pearls. 6 facet cut emeralds. 

Central oval facet cut ruby, 2 x smaller oval cut rubies. Checked by a gemologist.
