A charming rich, 18ct yellow gold and diamond half hoop ring.

This ring is attributed to the Australian jeweller Thomas and V.J Willis circa 1890. In 1875 the firm was T.Willis and co.

In 1870 R&T  Willis had acquired a jewellers punch, marked T.W from Stokes Martin.

The 5 old mine cut diamonds are graduated and claw set with a gallery under rail and scroll engraved shoulders.

The band is slightly tapered and half round and stamped T.W&Co.

This ring is a lovely stand alone piece but would also be an eye-catching addition to a stack.

Australian jewellery is highly collectible as there was a smaller production industry here than in the UK.
