Antique Victorian Silver Snake Link Chain
A highly unusual Mid-Antique Victorian silver chain.
The sinuous snake link piece is likely to be Continental in origin and, though not marked, definitely tests for silver.
Originally part of a long guard chain, this section is completed with the original dog link clip and ring. This allows you to wrap it around twice and attach a charm or locket to the front.
In good condition commensurate with age.
All fittings are sound and secure.
Circa 1860.
Metal: Tests for silver.
Length: End to end 93 cm.
Total weight: 20.7gm

Pictured with silver swivel for styling purposes. Not included with the chain.
