A beautifully crafted, exquisitely pretty silver gilt dragonfly brooch.

The jewelled wings are pave set with a mix of diamonds and white sapphires. The abdomen and tail are set with dreamy blue topaz. The frames of the wings are detailed with milligrain styling.

The eyes, antennae and legs are finely wrought in gilded silver.

The gilded back also demonstrates the level of skilled craftsmanship. The pin is 9ct gold and has a secure clip fastener.

 Dragon flies have been a popular theme in Antique symbolic jewellery and are said to represent rebirth, change and transformation.
